Pete Kostelnick joins the UR inner sanctum to talk about his
next adventure: running 50 miles in all 50 states in 50 days.
Pete’s no stranger to monumental endurance feats - he’s the current
World Record holder for the fastest coast-to-coast crossing of the
United States by foot. He ran from San Francisco to New York City
in 42 days, 6 hours and 30 minutes. He is also a two-time Badwater
135 champion and is the fifth-fastest North American of all-time at
the 24-hour event, covering 163.5 miles (an average pace of 8:48
per mile). Not to be outdone, he also ran from Alaska to Key West,
Florida self-supported. Pete also gives us a sneak peek at his epic
quest later this year. Stay tuned after Pete's interview for our
"What’s the Issue" segment with UltraRunning Magazine
editor, Amy Clark.
